The West Point Green Wave basketball squad (West Point, MS), was crushed 64-11 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS)
With the victory, Pontotoc advances its record to 14-3 on the year. The Warriors host New Hope (Columbus, MS) to meet the Trojans in a 5A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 17. The Trojans enter the battle with a record of 9-4.
The Green Wave now own a 3-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Clarksdale for a 5A Region 1 battle on Friday, January 17. West Point will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 46-40 league win over Lafayette (Oxford, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-10.
