The Monterey Plainsmen soccer squad scored 9 points and held the visiting Plainview Bulldogs to 0 in the Plainsmen league victory on Tuesday.

The Plainsmen now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Caprock for a 5A Region 1 District 3 bout on Friday, January 17. Monterey will play a Longhorns squad coming off a 2-0 league loss to Tascosa (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Plainview moves to 0-5 on the year. The Bulldogs host Amarillo (Amarillo, TX) to play the Sandies in a 5A Region 1 District 3 bout on Friday, January 17. The Sandies go into the bout with a record of 5-1. Amarillo won 2-0 in their recent league bout against Coronado (Lubbock, TX)
