Fans at Friday's league battle between the Monterey Plainsmen (Lubbock, TX) and the host Plainview Bulldogs (Plainview, TX), saw Monterey's soccer squad triumph over Plainview by a count of 10-0.

The Plainsmen (8-3) will now prepare for their battle against Caprock (Amarillo, TX). The Longhorns enter the 5A Region 1 District 3 battle with a 2-6 record. In their last battle, Caprock was overwhelmed by Tascosa (Amarillo, TX), 3-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 3 battle, on Monday, February 17. Plainview will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Sandies enter the battle with a 12-1 record after their 5-0 league win over Coronado (Lubbock, TX).
