Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets (Grand Island, NE) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Palmer Tigers (Palmer, NE), 45-37 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Heartland Lutheran upgrades its record to 4-8 on the campaign. The Red Hornets travel to St. Francis (Humphrey, NE) to play the Flyers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 17. The Flyers come into the bout with a record of 12-3. St. Francis won 46-41 in their recent non-league bout against Clarkson/Leigh (Clarkson, NE)

In their next game, the Tigers face the Burwell Longhorns (Burwell, NE) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 25. Palmer will attempt to move on its 2-8 season record.
