Dexter Tigers (Dexter, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Stearns Minutemen (Millinocket, ME), 68-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Dexter upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME) to play the Howlers in a C North bout on Friday, January 19. The Howlers come into the bout with a record of 8-1. Penobscot Valley won 76-25 in their recent league bout against Calais (Calais, ME)

Next up, the Minutemen play the Southern Aroostook Warriors (Dyer Brook, ME) in a D North bout, on Thursday, January 18. Stearns will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 87-33 non-league win over Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME).
