The Sibley East Wolverines basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop Thunderbirds to 36 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Monday.

The Wolverines now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mayer Lutheran for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Sibley East will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 67-22 league win over Heritage Christian Academy (Maple Grove, MN). The Crusaders record now stands at 8-5.

The Thunderbirds (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against St. Mary's (Sleepy Eye, MN). The Knights enter the A Section 2 contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, St. Mary's triumphed over Springfield (Springfield, MN), 78-43, in a league contest.
