The Brewer Witches (Brewer, ME) ice hockey nipped the host Messalonskee Eagles (Oakland, ME), 2-1 in Monday's league battle.
The Witches now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Hampden for a Class B North battle on Thursday, January 18. Brewer will play a Broncos team coming off a 4-0 league loss to Cony (Augusta, ME). The Broncos record now stands at 1-4.
The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their battle against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Wildcats come into the Class B North battle with a 4-1 record.
