North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy knocked off by Piedmont

The Piedmont Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Central Academy Cougars to 39 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Panthers now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Parkwood for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Piedmont will battle a Wolf Pack team coming off a 43-32 non-league loss to Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Wolf Pack record now stands at 5-7.
The Cougars (1-7) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Forest Hills was defeated by West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 60-46, in a non-league contest.
