North Carolina High School Basketball - Central Academy knocked off by Piedmont

The Piedmont Panthers basketball team scored 39 points and held the host Central Academy Cougars to 23 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Panthers now sport a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Pleasant for a non-league contest on Wednesday, February 7. Piedmont will meet a Tigers team coming off a 58-54 non-league loss to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 8-8.
The Cougars (1-13) will now prepare for their contest against Forest Hills (Marshville, NC). The Yellow Jackets enter the non-league contest with a 2-14 record. In their last contest, Forest Hills was outscored by West Stanly (Oakboro, NC), 51-24, in a non-league contest.
