In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host Amboy Clippers basketball team scored a close 45-40 triumph over the Morrison Mustangs.

The Clippers (7-10) will now prepare for their contest against Fulton (Fulton, IL). The Steamers go into the Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest with a 8-10 record. In their last contest, Fulton nipped Forreston (Forreston, IL), 57-49, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Newman Central Catholic Comets (Sterling, IL) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Morrison will attempt to better on its 6-14 season record. The Comets go into the contest with a 12-10 record after their 80-52 non-league win over River Ridge (Hanover, IL).
