The Heritage Pioneers basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Fleming Colonels to 47 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Pioneers now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they host Glass for a Seminole game on Friday, January 17. Heritage will confront a Hilltoppers team coming off a 52-49 league loss to Liberty Christian (Lynchburg, VA). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Fleming falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Colonels travel to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA) to confront the Eagles in a Blue Ridge game on Friday, January 17. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 4-9. Franklin County won 45-30 in their recent league game against Staunton River (Moneta, VA)
