The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Fleming (Roanoke, VA). The Colonels come into the non-league challenge with a 4-2 record. In their last challenge, Fleming trounced Heritage (Lynchburg, VA), 54-47, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Golden Eagles battle the William Byrd Terriers (Vinton, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Staunton River will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Terriers come into the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 40-18 non-league win over Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
