In Monday's non-league outing, the Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN), by a count of 81-29.
The Grizzlies (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cherokee (Rogersville, TN). The Chiefs go into the 3A District 2 outing with a 6-9 record. In their last outing, Cherokee was crushed by Volunteer (Church Hill, TN), 58-49, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 2-14 record. They play next when they travel to Halls for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 17. Seymour will clash with a Red Devils squad coming off a 89-86 non-league win over Northview Academy (Kodak, TN). The Red Devils record now stands at 9-9.
