Grainger Grizzlies (Rutledge, TN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN), 64-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Grainger upgrades its record to 5-6 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Heritage (Maryville, TN) to clash with the Mountaineers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 27. The Mountaineers go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Heritage lost 47-43 in their recent non-league bout against Red Bank (Chattanooga, TN)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Clinton Dragons (Clinton, TN) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Seymour will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record.
