Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Starks Panthers (Starks, LA) and the visiting Converse Wildcats (Converse, LA), saw Starks's basketball squad overcome Converse by a tally of 52-41.

With the victory, Starks improves its record to 8-11 on the campaign. The Panthers host Hackberry (Hackberry, LA) to confront the Mustangs in a C District 4 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 2-7. Hackberry won 35-18 in their recent league challenge against South Cameron (Creole, LA)

Next up, the Wildcats confront the North DeSoto Griffins (Stonewall, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Converse will attempt to improve on its 9-16 season record.
