Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Easton Bears (Easton, ME), 57-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Katahdin upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Van Buren (Van Buren, ME) to play the Crusaders in a D North bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Crusaders come into the bout with a record of 0-10. Van Buren lost 74-23 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME)

Next up, the Bears play the Hodgdon Hawks (Hodgdon, ME) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Easton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-10 season record.
