Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Easton Bears (Easton, ME), 54-25 in a league bout.

With the win, Katahdin upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Fort Kent lost 58-55 in their recent league bout against Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME)

Next up, the Bears play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 30. Easton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 49-14 non-league loss to East Grand (Dansforth, ME).
