Virginia High School Basketball - Glenvar trounces Staunton River

The Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) basketball crushed the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 59-31 in Monday's non-league test.
The Highlanders (8-6) will now prepare for their test against Radford (Radford, VA). The Bobcats go into the Three Rivers test with a 3-10 record. In their last test, Radford was trounced by James River (Buchanan, VA), 42-26, in a league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 2-14 record. They play next when they host Fleming for a Blue Ridge test on Tuesday, January 17. Staunton River will encounter a Colonels squad coming off a 50-44 league win over Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Colonels record now stands at 9-4.
