The Piedmont Highlanders (Piedmont, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Salesian College Preparatory Pride (Richmond, CA), 69-63 in Monday's non-league test.
The Highlanders (15-0) will now prepare for their test against Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA). The Dragons go into the West Alameda County - Foothill test with a 10-5 record. In their last test, Bishop O'Dowd was tipped by Archbishop Mitty (San Jose, CA), 61-31, in a non-league test.
The Pride now own a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Swett for a Tri-County - Rock test on Wednesday, January 18. Salesian College Preparatory will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 66-37 league loss to Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA). The Warriors record now stands at 9-7.
