Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) and the visiting Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN), saw Mitchell's basketball squad wallop Cloudland by a tally of 64-29.

With the victory, Mitchell improves its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Mountaineers travel to Madison (Marshall, NC) to confront the Patriots in a challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 0-13. Madison lost 65-44 in their recent league challenge against Owen (Black Mountain, NC)

Next up, the Highlanders confront the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 23. Cloudland will attempt to improve on its 1-3 season record.
