Mitchell Mountaineers (Bakersville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Cloudland Highlanders (Roan Mountain, TN), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mitchell upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Mountaineers host Madison (Marshall, NC) to play the Patriots in a bout on Monday, December 12. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 0-5.

Next up, the Highlanders play the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 12. Cloudland will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
