South Carolina High School Basketball - Wren can't hold off Powdersville

The Powdersville Patriots basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Wren Hurricanes to 33 in the Patriots league triumph on Monday.
The Patriots now sport a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palmetto for a contest on Friday, January 20. Powdersville will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 41-34 league win over Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.
The Hurricanes (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Belton-Honea Path (Honea Path, SC). The Bears enter the contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Belton-Honea Path nudged Palmetto (Williamston, SC), 35-31, in a league contest.
