North Carolina High School Basketball - North Gaston trounced by Ashbrook

January 16, 2024: Gastonia, NC 28054

The Ashbrook Greenwave routed the visiting North Gaston Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 80-57 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Greenwave face the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, January 17. Ashbrook will attempt to move on its 12-2 season record. The Golden Lions enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 71-59 league win over East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).

With the defeat, North Gaston moves to 3-12 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Crest (Shelby, NC) to face the Chargers in a 3A Big South game on Friday, January 19. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 10-1. Crest won 63-57 in their recent league game against South Point (Belmont, NC)
