In Tuesday's league outing, the Grovetown Warriors (Grovetown, GA) basketball squad got by the visiting Lakeside Panthers (Evans, GA), by a count of 55-53.

With the victory, Grovetown upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to South Effingham (Guyton, GA) to play the Mustangs in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge on Saturday, January 20. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 0-13.

Next up, the Panthers play the Brunswick Pirates (Brunswick, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 2 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Lakeside will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 6-11 record after their 63-52 league loss to Effingham County (Springfield, GA).
