Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the host Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad overcome Rocky River by a tally of 64-55.
With the victory, Independence improves its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Patriots host Butler (Matthews, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A Southwestern challenge on Friday, January 19. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. Butler won 71-53 in their recent non-league challenge against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC)
Next up, the Ravens confront the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern challenge, on Friday, January 19. Rocky River will attempt to improve on its 7-10 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 67-35 non-league loss to West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC).
