Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Mercyhurst Prep can't hold off Iroquois

The Iroquois Braves basketball team scored 53 points and restricted the host Mercyhurst Prep Lakers to 52 in the Braves non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Braves now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northwestern for a non-league contest on Friday, January 19. Iroquois will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 78-21 non-league loss to Girard (Girard, PA). The Wildcats record now stands at 0-11.

The Lakers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against North East (North East, PA). The Grape Pickers come into the District 10 Region 3 contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, North East was nudged by Fairview (Fairview, PA), 51-49, in a league contest.
