The Weldon Chargers topped the visiting Northwest Halifax Vikings basketball team by a final score of 62-51 in Tuesday's league game.
In their next game, the Chargers face the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a 1A Tar Roanoke game, on Wednesday, January 17. Weldon will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Jaguars enter the game with a 8-3 record after their 72-66 league loss to North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC).
With the defeat, Northwest Halifax moves to 2-13 on the year. The Vikings host Warren County (Warrenton, NC) to face the Eagles in a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Friday, January 19.
