De Soto Pirates (De Soto, WI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Ithaca Bulldogs (Richland Center, WI), 52-47 in a league bout.

With the win, De Soto upgrades its record to 9-5 on the season. The Pirates host Kickapoo (Viola, WI) to play the Panthers in a Ridge & Valley bout on Friday, January 19. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 12-6. Kickapoo won 58-47 in their recent non-league bout against Boscobel (Boscobel, WI)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the La Farge/Youth Initiative (La Farge, WI) in a Ridge & Valley bout, on Friday, January 19. Ithaca will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record. The go into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 38-25 non-league win over Necedah (Necedah, WI).
