Texas High School Basketball - Muleshoe can't hold off Lamesa

The Lamesa Tornadoes basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Muleshoe Mules to 42 in the Tornadoes league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tornadoes now sport a 18-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Denver City for a 3A Region I District 3 contest on Friday, January 19. Lamesa will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 49-31 league loss to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-13.
The Mules (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Friona (Friona, TX). The Chieftans enter the 3A Region I District 3 contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Friona nudged Lubbock Titans (Lubbock, TX), 70-31, in a non-league contest.
