Valley Union Blue Devils (Elfrida, AZ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Patagonia Lobos (Patagonia, AZ), 48-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Valley Union upgrades its record to 9-10 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to San Simon (San Simon, AZ) to play the Longhorns in a 1A Tucson Southeast bout on Friday, January 19. The Longhorns come into the bout with a record of 4-8. San Simon lost 44-32 in their recent non-league bout against San Manuel (San Manuel, AZ)

Next up, the Lobos play the Duncan Wildkats (Duncan, AZ) in a 1A Tucson Southeast bout, on Thursday, January 18. Patagonia will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Wildkats come into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 43-23 league win over Baboquivari (Sells, AZ).
