In Tuesday's non-league outing, the El Capitan Vaqueros (Lakeside, CA) basketball squad felled the visiting Granite Hills Eagles (El Cajon, CA), by a margin of 37-27.

The Vaqueros (13-2) will now prepare for their outing against Santana (Santee, CA). The Sultans go into the non-league outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Santana was beaten by Valhalla (El Cajon, CA), 38-25, in a league bout.

Next up, the Eagles play the Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA) in a bout, on Friday, January 19. Granite Hills will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record.
