The Cobden Appleknockers basketball team scored 60 points and limited the visiting Shawnee Redskins to 31 in the Appleknockers league triumph on Thursday.

The Appleknockers now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they travel to Galatia for a non-league game on Monday, January 20.

With the loss, Shawnee falls to 1-12 on the campaign. The Redskins host Century (Ullin, IL) to play the Centurions in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Centurions go into the game with a record of 15-4. Century won 77-63 in their recent league game against Joppa-Maple Grove (Joppa, IL)
