The George Washington Eagles felled the host Magna Vista Warriors basketball squad by a count of 55-45 in Thursday's league match.
With the victory, George Washington advances its record to 13-1 on the year. The Eagles host Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA) to face the Trojans in a Piedmont match on Friday, January 17. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 4-10. Tunstall won 62-58 in their recent non-league match against Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA)
The Warriors now own a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martinsville for a Piedmont match on Friday, January 17. Magna Vista will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 60-54 league win over Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-7.
