The George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA) basketball were winner over the visiting Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA), 60-49 in Friday's league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Tunstall for a Piedmont bout on Tuesday, February 11. George Washington will play a Trojans team coming off a 71-59 league loss to Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 7-15.

With the loss, Magna Vista falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Halifax County (South Boston, VA) to play the Comets in a Piedmont bout on Monday, February 10. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Halifax County lost 79-61 in their recent league bout against Bassett (Bassett, VA)
