The Spartans (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Madison East (Madison, WI). The Purgolders come into the Big Eight challenge with a 2-10 record. In their last challenge, Madison East defeated Janesville Parker (Janesville, WI), 62-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Regents battle the Madison La Follette Lancers (Madison, WI) in a Big Eight challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Madison West will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Lancers come into the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 78-73 league loss to Janesville Craig (Janesville, WI).
