The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Monroeville Eagles (Monroeville, OH) and the visiting South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH), observed Monroeville's basketball team overwhelm South Central by a margin of 62-40.

The Eagles (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Edison (Milan, OH). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Edison was trounced by Margaretta (Castalia, OH), 64-25, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Saturday, January 18. South Central will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record. The Big Red come into the challenge with a 5-7 record after their 66-47 league loss to Western Reserve (Collins, OH).
