Florida High School Basketball - Central victorious over Tarpon Springs

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Central Bears basketball team scored a good 33-22 triumph over the Tarpon Springs Spongers.

The Bears (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lecanto (Lecanto, FL). The Panthers go into the non-league contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Lecanto was toppled by Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL), 43-30, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Spongers confront the Pasco Pirates (Dade City, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 17. Tarpon Springs will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Pirates go into the contest with a 0-13 record after their 54-17 non-league loss to Northeast (St. Petersburg, FL).
