Florida High School Basketball - Tarpon Springs sneaks past Central

The Tarpon Springs Spongers (Tarpon Springs, FL) basketball edged the visiting Central Bears (Brooksville, FL), 36-32 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Spongers now possess a 5-11 record. They play next when they travel to East Lake for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 28.

With the loss, Central falls to 4-17 on the campaign. The Bears host Hernando (Brooksville, FL) to play the Leopards in a 4A District 6 bout on Friday, January 24. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Hernando lost 45-43 in their recent league bout against Mount Dora (Mount Dora, FL)
