The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN) and the visiting Murray County Central Rebels (Slayton, MN), observed Russell-Tyler-Ruthton's basketball team knock off Murray County Central by a score of 52-40.

The Knights (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN). The Falcons come into the A Section 3 challenge with a 0-18 record. In their last challenge, Red Rock Central dropped by Adrian/Ellsworth (Adrian, MN), 73-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Rebels encounter the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles (Edgerton, MN) in a A Section 3 challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Murray County Central will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 57-26 non-league win over Mountain Lake/Comfrey (Mountain Lake, MN).
