In Friday's league contest, the host Pine Eagle Spartans basketball team scored a good 59-50 win over the Joseph Eagles.
The Spartans (3-10) will now prepare for their contest against Powder Valley (North Powder, OR). The Badgers come into the 1A Old Oregon contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Powder Valley defeated Wallowa (Wallowa, OR), 65-36, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Wallowa Cougars (Wallowa, OR) in a 1A Old Oregon contest, on Saturday, January 17. Joseph will attempt to better on its 12-2 season record. The Cougars come into the contest with a 1-12 record after their 65-36 league loss to Powder Valley (North Powder, OR).
