The Maquoketa Valley Wildcats basketball team (Delhi, IA), was routed 60-38 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA)

The Pirates now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Linn for a Tri-Rivers battle on Friday, January 20. Alburnett will battle a Lynx team coming off a 107-25 league win over Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Lynx record now stands at 14-1.

The Wildcats (9-5) will now prepare for their match against Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Stars enter the Tri-Rivers match with a 0-14 record. In their last match, Starmont was routed by East Buchanan (Winthrop, IA), 68-41, in a league match.
