Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Maquoketa Valley Wildcats (Delhi, IA), 71-39 in a league bout.
With the victory, Alburnett upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Pirates host North Linn (Troy Mills, IA) to play the Lynx in a Tri-Rivers bout on Friday, December 9. The Lynx come into the bout with a record of 5-1. North Linn won 103-18 in their recent league bout against Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Maquoketa Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 53-13 league loss to Monticello (Monticello, IA).
