Georgia High School Basketball - Rabun County nips Athens Christian

January 17, 2023: Tiger, GA 30576

Rabun County Wildcats (Tiger, GA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Athens Christian Eagles (Athens, GA), 70-67 in a league bout.

With the win, Rabun County upgrades its record to 9-8 on the season. The Wildcats host Elbert County (Elberton, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a A D1 Region 8 bout on Friday, January 20. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-18. Elbert County lost 87-64 in their recent league bout against Commerce (Commerce, GA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Tallulah Falls Indians (Tallulah Falls, GA) in a A D1 Region 8 bout, on Friday, January 20. Athens Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 50-49 non-league loss to Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA).
