The Avella Eagles basketball team (Avella, PA), was overwhelmed 83-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA)

The Scotties now possess a 13-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laurel for a non-league battle on Friday, January 20. Union Area will clash with a Spartan squad coming off a 70-40 league loss to Northgate (Pittsburgh, PA). The Spartan record now stands at 4-9.
