Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Union Area overwhelms Avella

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Union Area Scotties (New Castle, PA) and the visiting Avella Eagles (Avella, PA), saw Union Area's basketball squad wallop Avella by a tally of 60-31.

With the victory, Union Area improves its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Scotties travel to Shenango (New Castle, PA) to confront the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 11. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 13-7. Shenango lost 51-39 in their recent league challenge against Aliquippa (Aliquippa, PA)
