Texas High School Basketball - Garden City trounces Blackwell

The Garden City Bearkats (Garden City, TX) basketball crushed the host Blackwell Hornets (Blackwell, TX), 73-17 in Tuesday's league test.
The Bearkats (13-5) will now prepare for their test against Bronte (Bronte, TX). The Longhorns go into the 1A Region II District 11 test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Bronte was trounced by Irion County (Mertzon, TX), 42-25, in a league test.
The Hornets now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Robert Lee for a 1A Region II District 11 test on Friday, January 20. Blackwell will encounter a Steers squad coming off a 37-34 league win over Veribest (Veribest, TX). The Steers record now stands at 10-13.
