The Kemp Yellowjackets basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting Blooming Grove Lions to 54 in the Yellowjackets league victory on Tuesday.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 15-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eustace for a 3A Region III District 18 contest on Friday, January 20. Kemp will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 57-40 league loss to Palmer (Palmer, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-18.

The Lions (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Rice was nudged by Malakoff (Malakoff, TX), 53-28, in a league contest.
