Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC), saw East Gaston's basketball squad knock off Cherryville by a count of 76-63.

With the victory, East Gaston upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC) to play the Rams in a 1A/2A Conference 40 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Highland Tech lost 55-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Bradford Prep (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Ironmen play the Pinnacle Classical Academy Eagles (Shelby, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. Cherryville will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 8-6 record after their 73-16 league win over Temple Baptist (Asheville, NC).
