With the victory, Klondike improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Loop (Loop, TX) to confront the Longhorns in a 1A Region I District 8 challenge on Friday, January 20. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a record of 5-10. Loop won 1-0 in their recent league challenge against Wellman-Union (Wellman, TX)

Next up, the Dragons confront the Sands Mustangs (Ackerly, TX) in a 1A Region I District 8 challenge, on Friday, January 20. Dawson will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 49-30 league loss to Grady (Lenorah, TX).
