The Deweyville Pirates basketball team (Deweyville, TX), dropped 54-40 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Sabine Pass Sharks (Sabine Pass, TX)
The Sharks now possess a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evadale for a 2A Region IV District 25 battle on Friday, January 20. Sabine Pass will battle a Rebels team coming off a 78-45 league win over Hull-Daisetta (Daisetta, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 12-16.
The Pirates (12-9) will now prepare for their battle against West Hardin (Saratoga, TX). The Oilers come into the 2A Region IV District 25 battle with a 6-9 record. In their last battle, West Hardin dropped by Evadale (Evadale, TX), 55-40, in a league battle.
